Issou Chopsticks Nishijin - Moon
Nishijin stretched in the northern area of the former capital Kyoto, concentrating a great numbers of weaving artisans in the Edo era. Named after the historical place, Nishijin chopsticks transcribe the weaving legacy, old Japanese style and heart.

*URUSHI is made from the sap of a plant that grows in Japan, China and the Southeast Asian area. It is used as a natural coating agent. Because URUSHI is a natural material, it is harmless. Besides, it has been used from ancient times because of its beauty and durability.
In Japan, it was already in use during the Jomon period (B.C.10th century) on bows, arrows and combs. It has also been used on important Japanese cultural assets like: Horyu-ji Temple, Chuson-ji Temple and Kinkaku-ji Temple.
Its mysterious luster and dignified hue give it a charm that depends with time, attracting people of all backgrounds.
